MZ/BZ Cafe 1990/1991

MZ/BZ cafe.
The door and section 6. Lots of raucous benefits cafs went on there mostly on Thursdays and not always ending in complete chaos.
Opposite my squat it was originally squatted "just because we could" as was still the case back in those days with the amount of empties that were around, a couple of people lived upstairs including Maya who was learning the violin at the time in a DIY manner IIRC.
It sat at
1a Combermere road (because it was just before number 1 so it might have had a Stockwell road address, we never bothered to find out)
I remember that someone had painted some human figures wearing the emperor's new clothes and someone (my guess is it was a parent from one of the kids at the school at the end of the road)obviously complained about it as the local plod came around telling in no uncertain terms that these should be hidden, so we tapped so bits of paper over it which could be lifted for the real art lovers out there to see the whole picture.
