Stockwell Paint November 2012

Less crappy snaps from me this month due to the colder climate life events and earlier darkness meaning I often pass the basketball court after dark and I don't think flash photography from my crappy snapper would do justice do the hard work people put in there, anyway here goes.

Paint from the Hole October 2012

I missed a fair amount of work I think, mostly due to passing by after dark nowadays and this not being ideal for photographs.

The End Of The Yardiverse, Galena Road W6

Flyer for the eviction weekend minifest at the Galena Road yard and houses in W6.
Circa 1994
Waiting for more info  on this at the moment. So far managed to find a  mention here and here.

Hilden House,Parry Street February 1st 1991

Large office/commercial building on Parry Street in Vauxhall, some of the Brixton skate-park crew had been co-opted and had built a large half-pipe type ramp in one of the rooms next to the one where the gigs happened.

This is a flyer for what turned out to be a not happening party as the place got busted by police in the afternoon and the electrics cut off so it ended up being candles and ghetto blasters only.

September 2012 @ The Stockwell Hole

Here is this past month offering of spraypaint in Stockwell. My camera crapped out on one day so there are some even worse quality pictures than usual amidst it all, still some stunning pieces in there.

The August coats in the Stockwell Hole

Here is your (now) monthly instalment of fresh paint from Stockwell, I missed quite a few but they are way too quick, most pieces are short-lived and if you don't catch them straight away then they're gone forever.

It seems that CHT who own the place now has plans to remove some of the walls and so this place might not last that much longer, this would really be a shame if it came to pass as as you can see for yourselves there are some truly great pieces of art being created there.

Post now edited with another 15 pieces I had somehow missed when uploading. They are at the end of the post.

Stockwell Hole July 2012

And so a few more weeks have passed and here are the pieces I managed to snap. Less activity than usual I though, probably due to the awful weather and also maybe some of the perps going down to the BOS in Perpignan 2 weeks ago and the recent arrests related to ongoing sport event which you apparently cannot call the Olympics London Summer 2012 due to some copyright bollocks or some such; anyway, enjoy the snaps.

And one more installment in the irregular stockwell wall of fame series.

I guess this might be a commissioned piece.

The Stockwell Hole week to May 22nd 2012

Here is the latest instalment of this ongoing series.
Since the last post I was given some more information on Urban75 by someone involved in the London Mural Preservation Society and some of the artists who come down there are involved in the positive arts company who run projects and workshops including the upcoming revamp of the Brixton Windmill mural not far away from the spot we are concerned with here.
An so it happens to also be known as The Stockwell Pen.
Here are the pieces:

The Stockwell Hole April 29th to May 14th 2012

Here is a couple of weeks worth of local vandalism, you can expect the usual mix and conflict of high quality graffiti vs bad photo-snapping.

Man at work:

The finished article:
And a lot more after the jump, 28 of them in fact, enjoy

The Stockwell Hole - 3 weeks to April 24th

Another massive instalment of fresh paint down in Stockwell, after 3 weeks of not posting it was only to be expected.
I think they will mostly be appearing in  the chronological order of my snapping.

and a truckload more snaps after the jump

The Stockwell Hole - March 27th to April 3rd

edit 25-04-2012:
made a mess in picasa earlier so I redid the post, the comments might not make sense anymore :D
...
More slightly blurry and bad quality pictures for your perusal.
Not quite the full piece due to my not wide enough camera and lack of skills.

My camera doesn't do it justice, get thee there and appreciate it for yourself, you'll be glad you did.

The Stockwell Hole 12 to 26th March 2012

As it was all a bit quiet on the spraying front over the previous week I've waited until now and all the activity the past few days of warm sunny weather brought to bring you a new post.

Here are the pieces I managed to catch over the past fortnight.

This bit down the side of the ramp was actually done in the previous week.

The Stockwell Hole 5-03-2012

So, here is parts of this past week new pieces in the hole. Parts because you can walk past one day think "wish I had my camera for this new one" and when you walk past the next day with your camera it has already been covered by a new piece.
They're busy as bees down there.
Anyway, here goes:
This one is (badly) stuck together by me, according to the infos on Voodoodi London's flickr set who I met there last night while snapping this piece piece is by Pixie and Care (that'll be Pixie on the left there) and it was still a work in progress at the time and being the cold fearing person that I am I promptly repaired to the nearest pub for warmth.
If you got to Voodoodi flickr page there are more pictures from the Stockwell wall of fame as well as other set from various other location around the country, go and feast your eyes out there.

Hopefully I should update this post with pixie's flickr account link soon.

While I'm here, if anyone spots one of their piece on this blog and want to get credited/linked back to their own place on the web just leave a comment and I'll update the posts accordingly.

Another 2 (badly stuck together by me) wide pieces.
