The Stockwell Hole week to May 22nd 2012

Here is the latest instalment of this ongoing series.
Since the last post I was given some more information on Urban75 by someone involved in the London Mural Preservation Society and some of the artists who come down there are involved in the positive arts company who run projects and workshops including the upcoming revamp of the Brixton Windmill mural not far away from the spot we are concerned with here.
An so it happens to also be known as The Stockwell Pen.

Another massive instalment of fresh paint down in Stockwell, after 3 weeks of not posting it was only to be expected.

I think they will mostly be appearing in  the chronological order of my snapping.

As it was all a bit quiet on the spraying front over the previous week I've waited until now and all the activity the past few days of warm sunny weather brought to bring you a new post.

4 Days to go after the jump

The Stockwell Hole 5-03-2012

So, here is parts of this past week new pieces in the hole. Parts because you can walk past one day think "wish I had my camera for this new one" and when you walk past the next day with your camera it has already been covered by a new piece.
They're busy as bees down there.
Anyway, here goes:

This one is (badly) stuck together by me, according to the infos on Voodoodi London's flickr set who I met there last night while snapping this piece piece is by Pixie and Care (that'll be Pixie on the left there) and it was still a work in progress at the time and being the cold fearing person that I am I promptly repaired to the nearest pub for warmth.
If you got to Voodoodi flickr page there are more pictures from the Stockwell wall of fame as well as other set from various other location around the country, go and feast your eyes out there.

St Agnes Place Benefit - 29/04/2004

At the George IVth on Brixton Hill.

This was to raise funds to try and fight the eviction of St Agnes Place as after quite a long time of peaceful occupation there threats of eviction had re-emerged.
Ultimately it all proved futile and the eviction did take place leading to this which has now turned into an even more definite piece of wasteland (I'll go take some new pictures there soon, I promise)

Reclaim The Future 2 - 01/02/2003

A massive war-protest-fundraiser cum party undertaking.
This took place in an ex tv showroom which IIRC was the planned site for an ASDA supermarket.
A lot of interesting exhibits were there on site and a hell of a lot of acts played.
